Basketball Game Preview: Calhoun Tigers vs. Stanhope Elmore Mustangs + How To Watch

The Calhoun Tigers and the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calhoun knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Stanhope Elmore likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Calhoun took on Central on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Lions, posting a 69-39 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Stanhope Elmore and Elmore County, and Stanhope Elmore kept the tradition alive. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 57-37 win on Friday. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by exactly 20 points.

Stanhope Elmore has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season. As for Calhoun, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
