Baseball Game Preview: Lehman Lions vs. Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy

For the second straight game, Lehman will face off against Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy. Lehman will welcome Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lehman has five straight wins, Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Thursday, Lehman beat Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy 8-5.

Keven Luciano was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Luciano was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Darisson Amarante, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lehman's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
