Hooper Bay skates past St. Mary's with ease

Recap: Hooper Bay Warriors vs. St. Mary's Eagles
The Hooper Bay Warriors gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They blew past St. Mary's, posting a 87-49 win at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hooper Bay also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Hooper Bay had a senior duo take command as Carson Long scored 26 points and Latrell Lake scored 25 points. Billy Smith was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Hooper Bay's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0. As for St. Mary's, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Hooper Bay won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chevak at 6:00 p.m. on January 4th. St. Mary's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
