Recap: McLeod Longhorns vs. Pewitt Brahmas
The McLeod Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 60-35 margin over Pewitt. The victory was just business as usual for McLeod, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.
When it comes to explaining why Pewitt lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Cedric Johnson. Despite the final result, he scored seven points along with seven steals and six assists. Another player making a difference was Ethan Shaddix, who scored eight points.
McLeod's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Pewitt, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
McLeod and Maud will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Maud will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1273rd, while McLeod is ranked 207th).
