Basketball Recap: Akiuk Memorial Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Akiuk Memorial couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 43-27 to the Bristol Bay Angels, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Grizzlies have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Akiuk Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 23-8. As for Bristol Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Akiuk Memorial nor Bristol Bay have any future games scheduled.
