Football Recap: Sachem East Comes Up Short

Sachem East had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 3-6 to make it five. They lost 34-14 to the William Floyd Colonials. While losing is never fun, Sachem East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 409th, while William Floyd is ranked 139th).

As for William Floyd, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. The result was nothing new for the Colonials, who have now won six games by 20 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Jaquan Thomas, who rushed for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries. Thomas is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 128 every time he's taken the field this season. Derek Glock also helped with two TDs in total.

As of now, neither Sachem East nor William Floyd have any future games scheduled.
