Baseball Recap: Coronado's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Coronado ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Eastlake Falcons 4-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Thunderbirds, who have now won three games in a row.

Kyle LaBranche tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, Ben Wilson was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Walt Mann, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Coronado's record now sits at 19-8. As for Eastlake, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-15.
