Softball Recap: Ludlow Takes a Loss

After flying high against Chicopee on Monday, Ludlow came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Easthampton/Hampshire Eagles by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday.

Ludlow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caitlyn Peczka, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Ludlow's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Easthampton/Hampshire, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coming up, Ludlow will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Holyoke at 5:00 p.m. The Lions are facing the Purple Knights at the right time seeing as the Purple Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Easthampton/Hampshire, they will challenge Pioneer Valley Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: the Panthers will have lost three straight heading into Thursday's match.
