Basketball Recap: Sergeant Bluff-Luton Comes Up Short

Sergeant Bluff-Luton managed to keep up with Lincoln until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors lost 74-53 to the Lincoln Lynx. The Warriors have struggled against the Lynx recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aiden Sandbothe, who went 10 of 11 on his way to 22 points. The dominant performance gave Sandbothe a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Creighton Bracker, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton's loss dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sergeant Bluff-Luton will venture away from home to challenge Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln, they will head out to take on Sioux City North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
