Jemez Valley entered their tilt with Menaul on Thursday with seven consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 56-44 victory over the Menaul Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-33 back in January.

Menaul's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karlea Apodaca, who posted 11 points along with five assists and five boards. Apodaca has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Julie Robles, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Jemez Valley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. As for Menaul, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.

Jemez Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-15 victory against Santa Fe Prep on the 8th. As for Menaul, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-55 win against Bosque on the 8th.
