Preview: Wrightstown Tigers vs. Brillion Lions
The Wrightstown Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Brillion Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Wrightstown didn't have too much trouble with Clintonville on the road as they won 54-36. Given Wrightstown's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while Clintonville is ranked 433rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Brillion strolled past Kiel with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-24.
Brillion's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amaya Brooks led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Emma Schuh was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Wrightstown has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Brillion, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
Wrightstown might still be hurting after the 49-28 defeat they got from Brillion in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Wrightstown, Megan Schuman (who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
