Baseball Recap: Jordan Comes Up Short

Jordan lost to Holy Family Catholic back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hubmen & Jaguars came up short against the Fire, falling 12-4.

Jordan got a good showing from Cash Gulden, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.

At the plate, Brock Lucas was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season.

Jordan dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Holy Family Catholic, they moved to 3-7 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coming up, Jordan will challenge Delano at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Hubmen & Jaguars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Holy Family Catholic, they will square off against Southwest Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
