Softball Game Preview: North Pitt Panthers vs. Holmes Aces

The North Pitt Panthers will face off against the Holmes Aces at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Pitt is looking for their season's first win.

North Pitt came up short against West Carteret on Tuesday, falling 11-1.

North Pitt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Meeks, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Holmes got the win against Gates County on Monday by a conclusive 11-1. The Aces haven't had any issues with the Red Barons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Harper Evans was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Jordan Ward was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

North Pitt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Holmes, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
