Softball Recap: Centennial Huskies vs. Santiago Sharks
Centennial had lost seven straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 11-18 to make it eight. They lost 11-5 to the Santiago Sharks. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sharks earlier this season, when they won 3-0.
As for Santiago, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-18. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 16-9).
For Santiago's part, Autumn Celaya was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Sophia Griffin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
As of now, neither Centennial nor Santiago have any future games scheduled.
