Softball Recap: Bellingham Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Bellingham extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping them up to 4-0. They skirted past the Westwood Wolverines 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blackhawks have posted since May 15, 2025.

Jacobi Houston made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Houston wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Megan Skarin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Morgan Goyer also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

As for Westwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Westwood's side, Alexis Cahill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

Coming up, Bellingham will be playing at home against Hopedale at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Norwood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
