Volleyball Recap: Larkin Takes a Loss

Larkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Plainfield North Tigers. If the Royals were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Leading Plainfield North to victory were Dylan O'Connor and Joey cavlovic. O'Connor had 13 assists and three aces, while CavloviC had three digs and two aces. Those three aces gave O'Connor a new career-high.

Larkin's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Plainfield North, their record is now 5-6.

Coming up, Larkin will face off against Elmwood Park at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Plainfield North, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Schaumburg on the 12th.
