Baseball Recap: Liberty Tech Magnet Takes a Loss

If Liberty Tech Magnet was feeling good fresh off their 16-6 takedown of Humboldt last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Liberty Tech Magnet Crusaders took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clarksburg Rockets on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost three in a row.

Caleb Jones made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Dylan Trantham, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Liberty Tech Magnet now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Clarksburg, they moved to 1-4 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.
