Recap: R.J. Reynolds Demons vs. Reagan Raiders
The R.J. Reynolds Demons were the 59-53 winner over the Reagan Raiders when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. R.J. Reynolds fell to Reagan 58-52.
When it comes to explaining why R.J. Reynolds lost on Wednesday, one person who can't be blamed is Antoine Jones Jr.. Despite the final result, he scored 27 points along with four steals. Jones Jr. hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Carmichael, who scored 11 points.
R.J. Reynolds has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Reagan, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. R.J. Reynolds will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Davie at 7:45 p.m. on January 19th. Davie is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Reagan, they will head out on the road to challenge East Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Forsyth will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
