Softball Recap: Cary-Grove Comes Up Short

Cary-Grove managed to slip by McHenry the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans came up short against the Warriors on Thursday, falling 17-7. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cary-Grove saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paityn Ahlquist, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another was Ella Grimm, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Cary-Grove's record now sits at 3-12. As for McHenry, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Looking ahead, Cary-Grove will square off against Oak Park-River Forest at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for McHenry, they will face off against Jacobs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
