Basketball Game Preview: Veterans Warhawks vs. Tift County Blue Devils

The Veterans Warhawks will challenge the Tift County Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Veterans' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.

Last Saturday, Veterans was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 62-57 to Northside. That's two games in a row now that the Warhawks have lost by exactly five points.

Meanwhile, Tift County slipped by Lowndes 43-42 on Saturday.

Tift County's win came from a few key players Veterans will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaden Lawson, who went 6 of 9 en route to 12 points. JJ Lamar was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points and six assists.

Veterans has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Tift County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
