Basketball Recap: Park City Extends Winning Streak to Three

Park City won the last time they faced Granger and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Miners walked away with a 60-50 victory over the Lancers. While the Miners didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Park City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Rice, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 23 points and six boards. The matchup was Rice's fifth in a row with at least 18 points. Bridger Lapine was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Granger lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Will Tidwell, who posted 12 points and seven boards. Braslau Fotso Simo also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

The win was the third in a row for Park City, bringing their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points over those games. As for Granger, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Park City will square off against Wasatch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Granger, they will take on Maple Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
