Baseball Recap: Oakfield-Alabama Takes a Loss

Oakfield-Alabama was the 4-1 winner over Elba when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets fell 7-3 to the Lancers on Friday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oakfield-Alabama saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Tobolski, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Oakfield-Alabama's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Elba, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Coming up, Oakfield-Alabama will be playing at home against Perry at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Elba, they will challenge Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
