Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Immanuel's Winning Streak

Immanuel lost against Sanger West back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Immanuel Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sanger West Hornets. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Colson Chernekoff paced Immanuel's offense, picking up eight kills. Chernekoff got some help from Jackson Lloyd and his 13 assists.

Leading Sanger West to victory were Jayden Vang and Maximus Inboon. Vang had 22 assists, while Inboon had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces Inboon has posted over his last 11 games.

The loss snapped Immanuel's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-4 record. As for Sanger West, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Immanuel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Reedley on the 15th. As for Sanger West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Golden Valley on the 15th.
