Basketball Recap: Chassell's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Chassell came into Friday's match having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Watersmeet Nimrods by a score of 51-42 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Nimrods back in December of 2024, they had to take a 77-40 defeat.

Chassell's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Watersmeet, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chassell will take on Dollar Bay at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Watersmeet, they will head out on the road to take on Ewen-Trout Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ewen-Trout Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
