Baseball Recap: Brimfield Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Brimfield won the last time they faced Illini West and things went their way on Saturday too. The Indians walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Chargers.

Brimfield saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cleveland Bizosky, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Bizosky has launched this season.

Brimfield is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Illini West, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.

Brimfield has already played their next contest, a 17-0 victory against Astoria/VIT on the 21st. Illini West has also already played their next game (against Pittsfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
