It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Winamac ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They skirted past the Twin Lakes Indians 5-4. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Lauren Bruce, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Makayla Werner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Winamac's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Twin Lakes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Winamac will welcome Caston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Twin Lakes, they will head out on the road to square off against Frontier at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
