The biggest upset of the week belonged to Richland, who defeated 131st ranked Keller Central, 14-7. Brandon Maine threw for 44 yards and 1 touchdown in the win.
The Rebels moved up to 310 from 402 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 5A Region I District 4. Richland was able to move up by beating the Chargers 14-7.
Carroll's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ryan Agnew threw for 319 and 3 touchdowns and Luke Timian had 143 yards receiving. On the ground AJ Ezzard chipped in 154 yards. Keaton Duhon helped Carroll's passing attack out by catching 9 balls for 72 yards.
He went 32-36 with 1 interception.
Timian was the best wideout in the league this week as the Dragons defeated Keller. Timian racked up 13 receptions for 143 yards. Duhon helped Carroll's passing attack out by catching 9 balls for 72 yards.
Carroll's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Dragons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Agnew has thrown for 2,097 yards and 23 touchdowns this season, while Timian has 49 catches for 777 yards. Agnew also leads the league in rushing with 814 yards.
Two of the top teams in 5A Region I District 4 will go toe-to-toe this week when Carroll takes on Fossil Ridge. Hal Wasson's team's offense has recorded 427 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Panthers have permitted only 121 on the year.
At the moment, the Dragons are in first, while Fossil Ridge is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Carroll takes on Tony Baccarini's team. The Dragons have allowed 126 points this season, while the Panthers have given up 121. Carroll allowed 17 points last week as it defeated the Indians.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, the Dragons beat Keller 52-17. The victory was the seventh in a row for Carroll.
