It was a good run, but Raceland unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 11-3 to the Boyd County Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 6-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Raceland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kadin Shore, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Shore has hit this season.

Raceland's loss dropped their record down to 24-6. As for Boyd County, their victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-4-1.

Looking ahead, Raceland will host Lewis County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Boyd County, they will venture away from home to square off against Pleasure Ridge Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
