Football Recap: West Muskingum Comes Up Short

West Muskingum dropped to 1-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They lost 28-7 to the John Glenn Little Muskies. The Tornadoes lost against the Little Muskies in their previous head to head back in October of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 66-12 score last time.

As for John Glenn, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points over those games.

Reese Metzger was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 125 yards and three scores. Those 125 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

West Muskingum didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 33-7 loss against New Lexington on the 12th. As for John Glenn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 48-0 win against Coshocton on the 12th.
