Softball Game Preview: Episcopal Knights vs. Newman Greenies

The Episcopal Knights will venture away from home to take on the Newman Greenies at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Episcopal came up short against Slaughter Community Charter on Thursday, falling 14-4. The loss continues a trend for Episcopal in their meetings with Slaughter Community Charter: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Newman might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Haynes Academy who claimed the real prize. Newman lost 15-5 to Haynes Academy. The Greenies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Able, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Caroline Kenter also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Newman, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
