Softball Game Preview: Cape Cod RVT Crusaders vs. Upper Cape Cod RVT Rams

Cape Cod RVT hasn't had much luck against Upper Cape Cod RVT recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Crusaders will take on the Rams at 3:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cape Cod RVT lost 12-4 to Bristol County Agricultural on Friday. The matchup marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Upper Cape Cod RVT scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against South Shore Vo-Tech, falling 23-15. Even though they lost, the Rams' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Kenley Thomas made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Brenna Griffin, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Upper Cape Cod RVT's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cape Cod RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Cape Cod RVT suffered a grim 19-2 defeat to Upper Cape Cod RVT in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
