Softball Recap: Orange Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southern Alamance, Orange was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Eastern Alamance Eagles by a score of 6-3. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Eagles back in March, they had to take a 7-0 defeat.

Orange got a great performance from Malynne Roemmich as she tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Hayleigh Hammond was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Rhiley Crabtree was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.

Orange now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Eastern Alamance, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Orange does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern Alamance, they will challenge Williams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
