Softball Recap: Pascagoula's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Pascagoula not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 20th. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Picayune Maroon Tide. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Anneleese Rabon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over seven innings pitched. Rabon was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, Asante Dawson was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Khyliyah Moore was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Pascagoula's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Picayune, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Pascagoula will have a chance to go back-to-back against Picayune: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
