Archbishop Spalding has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Mercy Magic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mercy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Archbishop Spalding, who comes in off a win.
Last Wednesday, Archbishop Spalding earned a 43-35 victory over Our Lady of Mount Carmel. 43 seems to be a good number for Archbishop Spalding as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Archbishop Spalding's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eden Berry, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitley Watkins, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-43, which was the final score in Mercy's tilt against Pallotti on Wednesday.
The win got Archbishop Spalding back to even at 3-3. As for Mercy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Archbishop Spalding suffered a grim 55-32 defeat to Mercy in their previous meeting back in February. Can Archbishop Spalding avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
