Normal West barely beat Centennial the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats' defense stepped up to hand the Chargers a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering Normal West have won nine matches by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

With the win, Normal West broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 14-3-1. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-3.

Normal West wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Urbana on the 9th. As for Centennial, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-1 loss against Peoria Notre Dame on the 9th.
