Baseball Recap: Camelback Comes Up Short

Camelback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Mustangs. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Camelback saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cesar Fernandez, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Camelback's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-2.

Camelback wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 19-0 defeat against Marcos de Niza on the 28th. As for North, they have also already played their next game, a 30-4 loss against North Canyon on the 28th.
