Baseball Recap: Ponce De Leon Takes a Loss

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Ponce De Leon was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (13-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Pirates fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Knights since on Thursday.

Ponce De Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5-1 record this season.

Ponce De Leon is taking a road trip to face off against Laurel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates are facing the Hoboes at the right time seeing as the Hoboes are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Rocky Bayou Christian will be paying especially close attention to Ponce De Leon's game: after Ponce De Leon faces off against Laurel Hill, they'll take on Rocky Bayou Christian again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
