Baseball Recap: Bradford Comes Up Short

Bradford was the 3-2 winner over Kane when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Owls took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves on Monday. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anthony Lama put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Lama wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Maksim Demic, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Bradford's record is now 4-7. As for Kane, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Bradford will take on Clearfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kane, they will square off against Brockway at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
