Volleyball Recap: Twinsburg Starts Season with Win on the Road

Twinsburg had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Marlington Dukes on Thursday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Twinsburg didn't let Marlington take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 26-24, 25-23.

Marlington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Twinsburg will head out on the road to challenge Stow-Munroe Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Marlington, they will be playing at home against Olmsted Falls at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
