Basketball Recap: Southern Choctaw Victorious

While Southern Choctaw has struggled on the road with three straight losses, that wasn't the case on Tuesday thanks to Marcionna Young. The Southern Choctaw Indians simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Sweet Water Bulldogs 63-5 thanks in part to Young, who posted 25 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Keri McGee, who put up ten points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Southern Choctaw's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Choctaw will square off against Marengo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sweet Water, they will take on Blacksher at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
