Volleyball Game Preview: Nettleton Tigers vs. North Pontotoc Vikings

The Nettleton Tigers will challenge the North Pontotoc Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Pontotoc took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Nettleton, who comes in off a win.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Tuesday. Nettleton had just enough and edged out Hatley 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Nettleton.

Nettleton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 18-25, 25-17, 25-23, 15-9.

Meanwhile, North Pontotoc had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to Belmont on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-14.

Nettleton's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for North Pontotoc, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
