Volleyball Recap: Southwood Gets the Win

Southwood won the last time they faced Homestead and things went their way on Saturday too. The Knights walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Spartans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

While Southwood might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Homestead scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20.

Shania Rhamy paced Southwood's offense, picking up 12 kills. Rhamy got some help from Adi Deaton and her 28 assists. Mylah Dillon controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Southwood's win bumped their record up to 26-3. As for Homestead, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-10.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Southwood will take on Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Squires will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each matchup than the last. As for Homestead, they will square off against Bellmont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
