Volleyball Recap: Umatilla Vikings vs. Burns Hilanders
Umatilla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Burns Hilanders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burns to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Trent, who had eight aces. The dominant performance gave Trent a new career-high in aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Rothwell, who had four aces and 11 assists.
Umatilla's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Burns, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-3-2.
