Softball Recap: New Hartford Takes a Loss

New Hartford fell victim to Ironton and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Fighting Tigers, falling 11-0. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Hartford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Way, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. Way is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season.

New Hartford now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Ironton, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.

Looking ahead, New Hartford will be playing at home against Jackson at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Ironman/Ironladies have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for Ironton, they will challenge West Deptford at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday.
