La Marque had lost 12 games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 3-11 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Royal Falcons as they made off with an 18-12 victory. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Royal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-1 record this season. Even though they lost, their still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.3 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

For Royal's part, Steven Barley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. The Falcons are 2-1 when Barley posts three or more hits, but 4-10-1 otherwise. Brandon Conaver also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
