Basketball Game Preview: West Stanly Colts vs. Bradford Prep Bears

The West Stanly Colts and the Bradford Prep Bears will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in West Stanly's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, West Stanly beat Central Academy 60-55.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bradford Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They secured a 60-55 W over Piedmont Community Charter on Thursday. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Patriots are ranked 291st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bradford Prep's win came from a few key players West Stanly will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Esaias Caves, who posted 15 points and seven assists. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Poston, who put up eight points and eight rebounds.

Bradford Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Piedmont Community Charter only racked up seven assists.

West Stanly's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6. As for Bradford Prep, their record is now 5-3.
