Football Game Preview: Trinity Leadership Tigers vs. Inspired Vision EAGLES

The Trinity Leadership Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Inspired Vision EAGLES at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Leadership knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Inspired Vision likes a good challenge.

Trinity Leadership lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Scurry-Rosser, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Tigers blew past the Wildcats 44-14 on Friday. With the Tigers ahead 28-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Alvin Sims produced another solid performance rushing for 149 yards while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.

Trinity Leadership didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Scurry-Rosser to a completion percentage of just 36.7%. The team can thank Londen Cook for the heroic effort on defense: he. Trinity Leadership hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.47 or higher in three consecutive games.

Trinity Leadership didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zion Love and Donovan Foster. Another thorn in Scurry-Rosser's side was Kamarion Turner, who picked up a sack and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Inspired Vision). They were the clear victors by a 40-18 margin over Gateway Charter Academy on Friday. The EAGLES not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 36-12).

Trinity Leadership's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.5 points on average over those games. As for Inspired Vision, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Everything came up roses for Trinity Leadership against Inspired Vision in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 64-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
