Volleyball Recap: Atlantic Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Atlantic kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Seabreeze Sandcrabs by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Atlantic took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 11-25, 18-25, 25-12, 15-13.

Seabreeze's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Victoria Kenyon-Gonzalez, who had 18 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Chase, who had 15 digs and two aces.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atlantic will square off against Flagler Palm Coast at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seabreeze, they will take on Deltona at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
