            Softball Recap: Naches Valley Rangers vs. Royal Knights        
        
		
        
        
            Naches Valley dropped their record down to 7-11 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They took  an  8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Royal Knights. The Rangers were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.
As for Royal, the  victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-3. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.2 runs over those games.
For Royal's part,  Jill Allred was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and not a single walk). Allred has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases and three  runs. Those  two  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lily Delarosa, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run and four  RBI. She is  on a roll when it comes to  RBI, as she's  now  brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Audrey Bergeson, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Royal beat Naches Valley by a score of  15-4 later that day.
