Baseball Game Preview: Seneca Bobcats vs. Tri-Village Patriots

The Seneca Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Tri-Village Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Seneca comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Seneca fell victim to Mercyhurst Prep and their airtight pitching crew last Thursday. They lost 13-0 to the Lakers.

Ansonia hit Tri-Village with a six-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Patriots fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Patriots have suffered since May 8, 2024.

Seneca's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Tri-Village, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Seneca couldn't quite finish off Tri-Village in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 and fell 23-21. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
